Something annoys you about the way things work, the way they don’t, or the way they shouldn’t. You can raise your fist, your voice, or your pen. I raise the second when needed, and truly believe there are cases that deserve raising the first (more often than is appreciated), but being a writer, obviously find myself raising the last the most. And so the need for this series.
Ire. Things that make me, Irfan, go red. Be it potholes on roads, drivers not following road rules, or even superfluous road-renaming.
Ire. A space in which I berate about the things that make me irate, or even just lament or comment. In short, a space for social commentary.
Ire. Coming, just like the names of all the sub-series on my blog (such as IrfindingVegan, Irfananta, and Irfilosophy) and even my blog name itself, from my name. Irfan, or Irf (most people’s short name for me), with ire, and writing with ire.
The logo plays this up too. Since blue is my favourite colour, and a colour indicating a cool state of mind, ‘Irf’ is a rich blue. But when something makes me irate, a part of me, the last part here, goes a bit red too. All summed up with the tagline, ‘Things that make me go red’.
Now, await the first red-hued rant…
